Photographing the northern lights is not a simple task. There are many very important things you need to consider if you want something more than a green hazy blob on your photo; locations, foreground, camera settings and light pollution.
I have been chasing the northern lights for three years now, and I am slowly getting better at photographing them. My experience is that you always have to plan your northern lights photography well ahead, make sure your camera is ready, that you have gone through possible settings and scenarios in your head before you head out. So, feel free to browse through the photography section of this web and prepare yourself. Or join my Northern Lights Photography lesson, available from September 15th.
